

The Kenya YMCA National Training Institute (NTI) is a TVET college governed by the National Council of the Kenya YMCA. NTI was founded in 1966 . It is an institute affiliated to Kenya YMCA which is a legally registered organization. NTI has over fifty years’ experience in youth training and development. The institute has developed and perfected a multi-faceted (integrated) strategy; an approach aimed at offering young people opportunities to develop their own personal and communal resources sustainably and in a participatory manner. The institution is registered by the Technical Vocational and Training Authority (TVETA) and accredited to offer certificate and diploma courses in various skills.

OUR PROFILE
The Shauri Moyo Kenya YMCA National Training Institute (NTI) is a college governed by the National Council of the Kenya YMCA. NTI was founded in 1966. Shauri Moyo YMCA (NTI) has fifty-six (56) years of experience in youth training and development.
The institute has developed and perfected an integrated strategy aimed at offering youth opportunities to develop their own personal and communal resources sustainably and in a participatory manner. The institution is registered by the Technical Vocation Education and Training Authority (TVETA) and accredited to offer certificate and diploma courses in various skills.
Currently, the institute has training programs in building and Construction, Plumbing, Painting, Electrical Installation, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Hair Dressing and Beauty, Hospitality, Catering, Fashion Design and Dress Making, and Information Technology. NTI is also focusing on an Onsite Training approach to empowering youth with market-ready skills. The Onsite Masonry Training is a training approach developed by Kenya YMCA National Training Institute with support from development partners.
This program works to make TVET relevant in skills impartation while providing job opportunities. The objective is to deliver technical and market-ready skills to semi-skilled artisans. The long-term goal of this training approach is to contribute to the development of a skillful workforce with relevant industry skills and increase the number of competent artisans in the Housing and Construction Industry for National Development.
